Bamboo paper, made in India

Bamboo kitchen towels — 2-ply, reusable, eco-friendly

Heavy-absorbent bamboo kitchen towels for Indian kitchens. Long-fibre bamboo holds together when wet — wring, rinse, reuse up to 7 times before composting. FSC-certified, chlorine-free, eco-friendly packaging.

Why bamboo kitchen towels — the long-fibre advantage

Wood-pulp kitchen paper is built from short fibres (typically 1–3 mm long). When the sheet absorbs water, those fibres disconnect and the towel falls apart in your hand. Bamboo's natural fibre runs 2–4× longer — the same wet structure holds together. You can wring it, rinse it, and reuse it.

Dimension Wood-pulp paper towels Cotton kitchen cloth Bamboo kitchen towels

Cross-contamination No risk (single-use) High (needs hot wash) Low — chuck after raw-meat use

Use cases — where bamboo kitchen towels really shine

Counter spills

Water, milk, juice, dal — wring out and reuse. One sheet usually handles 3–4 spills across a cooking session.

Tawa & pan wipe

Light cooking oil between dosas / parathas / rotis. Lint-free so no fibre on non-stick surfaces.

Glassware polishing

Standard at our HORECA accounts — wine glasses, water glasses, mirrors. No fibre fuzz left behind.

Raw-meat wipe-down

Use once, discard — no cross-contamination risk like a cloth that has to be hot-washed between uses.

Veggie pat-dry

Sturdy enough to dry salad greens, paneer, dahi from a strainer. Compost the used sheet with the trimmings.

Bathroom polish

Mirrors, taps, chrome fittings. Lint-free polishing for the bits the microfibre misses.

Bamboo kitchen towels — frequently asked questions

Are bamboo kitchen towels really reusable?

Yes — that's the headline feature. Bamboo's long natural fibre means a single sheet holds together when wet. Wring it out, rinse it, and reuse it up to 7 times for water, oil and food spills before composting. Wood-pulp towels disintegrate after the first soaking; bamboo doesn't.

How absorbent are bamboo kitchen towels compared to regular paper towels?

Bamboo kitchen towels absorb 2–3× their weight in liquid in lab tests — comparable to or better than premium virgin wood-pulp brands. The 2-ply embossed structure traps water and oil quickly; the long fibre prevents the sheet falling apart while wet.

Can I use bamboo kitchen towels on glass or stainless steel?

Yes — they're naturally lint-free, which is why our HORECA customers use them for polishing glassware and prep-counter cleanup. No fibre fuzz left behind on glass, ceramic or stainless surfaces.

What's the sheet size? Are they big enough for Indian kitchens?

Standard sheet is 11×11 inches (≈28 × 28 cm) — sized for Indian cooktop spills, pressure-cooker wipe-downs, and tawa cleanup. Larger than US-spec towels, which are typically 11×7 inches.

Are bamboo kitchen towels compostable?

Fully. Used sheets compost in a backyard pile in 2–6 weeks (depending on moisture and microbe activity). For council compost bins, they qualify as paper waste. No chlorine residue or synthetic fibre to worry about.

Can I use bamboo kitchen towels for cleaning grease?

Yes — the 2-ply structure traps cooking oil and the cellulose fibre is grease-tolerant. For deep-fryer cleanup, customers often use one sheet for the bulk wipe and a second for a polishing pass. Used grease-soaked sheets go to general waste (not compost).

Are these FSC certified?

Yes — the bamboo pulp is FSC-certified, sourced from Forest Stewardship Council certified suppliers. Supplier certificate details are available on request.

How do bamboo kitchen towels compare to cloth (cotton) towels?

Cotton cloths are reusable indefinitely but need laundering — which carries its own water + detergent footprint, and cross-contamination risk for raw-meat / dairy / produce handling. Bamboo kitchen towels are single-use friendly (3–7 reuses if you choose), then compost — making them the right choice for messes you wouldn't want a cloth back from.
